As many of you know, The Cinnamon Girls hit the road on September 6th for Panama City
Beach, Florida. Not knowing what to expect, we were trepidatious, to say the least. But, when we arrived 11 hours later on
the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, all our fears were put to rest and replaced with sheer awe of the talent around us and bubbling
excitement for the experiences that lay ahead. The only word we can use to describe the entire journey is "Blessed".
We were met, not with the band we had expected, but with a group of truly outstanding
men and musicians. (Pictures of all of them to follow.) Many of you remember Bobby Holiday who has played drums with us on
many occaisions. Bobby had created a band of extraordinary talent to back us up on our featured songs- Mike Howard
on keys and vocals, Bill on bass and vocals and The Captain Milton Borel on lead guitar and vocals. Through two rehearsals,
learning material new to all of us, we pulled it together and created an AMAZING sound! SO, by Friday night as we entered
the Edgewater Resort, we were ready for a great performance at the American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball.
The night was a dream come true for us, and I do not think we have ever had a better
time.
We will be adding stories of our rock n roll star week and pictures of our new friends
soon, so check back regularly.
