Lynn Rose and Oona Love met at the Front Porch Restaurant in Cosby, Tennessee on May 16th, 2004. Little did they realize that
this chance meeting would turn into a partnership that would take them both to new highs in their musical careers. Immediately
drawn by each's distinctive vocal sounds, the two quickly began collaborating and within weeks were performing in various
venues around East Tennessee. Now, in addition to the cover songs they perform and their own original material, they are collaborating
in their writing as well. One of the newest results of their writing together is the haunting and lyrically poignant 'For
You' which is receiving acclaim everywhere they perform.
Meet The Cinnamon Girls:
Lynn Rose:
Originally from California, Rose taught herself to play guitar in her teens. She wanted to be able to play for her voice.
That desire has turned her into one of the most accomplished rhythm guitarists in the area. With her raw, deep voice she commands
her listeners. Her musical taste varying of many genres, she has the ability to make any song her own.
"Music is the most fun I can have with my clothes on.", She has often been heard saying. Influenced early by
Elvis and the music of the 60's and 70's, she has a definitive style and charisma that cannot be mistaken.
Many people around Gatlinburg remember her from her days performing as a solo act at the Coffee Loft, as well as folks
around East Tennessee remembering her from Cinnamon Creek. Her unforgetable sound has kept fans coming back for more.
Rose plays her oldest guitar nightly. It is a work horse and it's use and love can be seen in it's well loved and played
wood. With the addition to playing lead and harmonica as well as picking up a little bit of bass guitar, she is the driving
force of the duo and the band.

Oona Love:
Love has been performing as a musician/singer/songwriter for about ten years. Originally working as the only female Irish
Pub performer in the DC/Baltimore Metro area, she found that folk music and celtic music, although music she adored, was not
her true desire. Quickly filling the shoes as a rock and roll singer, she found her calling as a performer and as a song writer.
"I still love celtic music and 60's politically fired folk music, but I have really found what I love in this collaboration
with Lynn ( Rose )and the band. It is freeing to be on stage singing music you love and feel."
Love also says that she owes her passion and love of music to her mother. "She was my biggest influence growing up."
Her favorite artists include Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, Melissa Etheridge, Grace Slick, and of course
as everyone knows, Janis Joplin.
"The hardest part of any show, but also one of my favorite portions, is when we perform Me & Bobby McGee. So
many people have commented on how much it sounds like Janis. I suppose that is the highest compliment you could ever achieve
on that one.", Love says. "But without a doubt, I am enjoying more and more bringing original material to our sets.
I used to be terrified of the concept, but we have had such a wonderful response on the original songs, that when a new song
is finished, I can't wait to get out and play it for everyone."
